Our Team

  • Kim Welch (Director)

I’m Kim Welch. I’m thrilled to be part of this new preschool. My own children went to the previous school (CLA) and I taught there for 7 years!!  I love that it has come full-circle for me.

I hold an Associate’s degree in Liberal Arts from Northeastern University and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Emmanuel college. I’m EEC certified (infant/toddler, Preschool, Lead Teacher & Director 1 & 2). I’ve loved teaching preschool for the last 17+ years!  I was in the business arena for many years but once I had my own children and started volunteering in their preschool classrooms, I realized I enjoyed working with children rather than adults! ☺️

I’ve lived in Tewksbury for the last 26 years. I’m married to Bill & have 2 daughters Meaghan (a teacher and photographer)  & Madison (a full-time college student, teacher and dance instructor). In my spare time I love to spend time with my family. I also enjoy walking/hiking and discovering new places, travel, and baking sourdough and gardening (at home and at MSLA).

  • Meaghan Welch (Teacher)

Hi! My name is Meaghan and I am a  teacher here at MSLA. I’m a graduate of the former preschool (Creative Learning Academy) so this is an exciting “full-circle” moment for me!

I received my BFA in Photography from the College of Visual and Performing Arts at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in May of 2023. When I am not at the school, you will find me capturing photos as I have my own photography business which has been going very well. (Check out my website: https://meaghanwelch.zenfolio.com)

I have worked with children for many years. My first job at 15 years old was at GymStreet USA as a birthday party hostess and camp counselor.  I worked at the former preschool and I have babysat for many of the families throughout the years and still continue to do so.

I am so grateful to be apart of many children’s lives and it is very rewarding seeing our students grow from the moment they start to when they graduate.

  • Madison Welch (Assistant Teacher)

Hi I’m Madison (Maddie) and I’m so happy to be a part of MSLA. I am a student at Merrimack College studying psychology. I am a dance teacher for both younger and older students and I am preschool teacher certified. I have always loved working with kids and being part of their growth and development. Creating a positive and supportive environment is very important to me and I strive to make a meaningful impact on every child I work with. I hope to continue this work in the future as I pursue a career as a clinical psychologist!

  • Jenna Cook (assistant teacher)

Hi, my name is Jenna. I’m excited to be part of this community and to continue working with children.

I will be graduating this spring from Merrimack College with a degree in Human Development and Human Services and a minor in Education. I’ve worked as a substitute teacher, camp counselor in Plymouth, and nanny, which has given me valuable experience supporting children’s learning and development. In the fall, I’ll be continuing my education at Bridgewater State University to pursue my Master’s in Social Work.

I look forward to contributing to the classroom and supporting our students as they grow.

  • Ms. Davison (teacher)

Hi my name is Lisa Davidson.

I have been in the childcare industry for over 40 years. I hold a bachelors degree in Early Childhood from Salem State College.

I thoroughly enjoy working with children and being involved with shaping their future.  I also gain so much enjoyment when I see the light in their eyes as they gain knowledge from the world around them.  It warms my heart when the children share their new discoveries with me and I love the excitement as share their new experiences both in in school and at home.

I am so happy to be working at MSLA and sharing my knowledge and experience with a wonderful group of teachers and children that make it exciting to come to work everyday.

In my spare time, I enjoy watching golf with my significant other, being with my new granddaughter, my adult son and his girlfriend. I love escaping into a good mystery or thriller novel. In the summer, I can be found on the beach collecting seashells and sea glass or at my townhouse pool.

  • Kennedy Pereira (assistant teacher)

Hi I’m Kennedy and I am so excited to be a part of the MSLA community!

I am a freshman at Louisiana State University, majoring in Pre-Occupational Therapy, in hopes of becoming a Pediatrician Occupational Therapist. Throughout high school I worked at the Dewing Elementary School’s after school program and was a camp counselor at summer camp of the same program. I have also babysat for multiple families throughout those years, as well. I love to spending time with my friends and family and like to try baking new things.

I can’t wait for all the fun days at MSLA and look forward to being a part of the children’s growth!

  • Heather Mulvey (assistant teacher)

Hi families of MSLA, I am Miss Heather. I come to MSLA with over 35 years of experience working with children in daycare, preschool, and school-age settings. I’ve also run my own home daycare, worked as a private in-home nanny for many years, and worked in public schools supporting children of all abilities. I love meeting children at their level, listening to their stories, and sharing in their creativity through crafts, laughter, and play. Watching them grow and develop their own little personalities is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. Outside of work, I’m a proud mom to three adult daughters and a very happy grandma to a grandson and granddaughter who I spend time with each week. I also love all things Disney and enjoy the magic of Disney vacations with my husband of 35 years and the rest our family.
